Gone are the days of having to be completely uncomfortable when you’re doing floor exercises such as push-ups or situps. In fact, with the huge popularity of exercise routines like Pilates and yoga, all kinds of different mats have been put onto the marketplace for fitness enthusiasts to use. Many of these exercise mats are extremely expensive, not padded enough or not even sanitary because of sweating and such. We heard about the Harbinger Durafoam Exercise Mat and wanted to check it out because it looked like it was a pretty comfortable product.

Why is the Harbinger Durafoam Exercise Mat Unique?

The first thing we found out about this exercise mat is that it’s actually very light weight although it looks pretty heavy in the pictures. It’s rolled up and made of a material called Durafoam. It can be used for yoga, Pilates and any kind of stretching routine that puts you on the floor. It’s made of 3/8 inch closed cell Durafoam and has non-slip surface grips which will help it stay stuck to the floor to prevent any injuries. Many exercise mats on the market these days can cause all kinds of injuries because they slide across the floor. If you’ve ever done yoga or Pilates, you know that you’re sometimes holding very tenuous moves for a couple of minutes. The last thing you want to do is fall on your face!

This mat is also moisture resistant which makes it very easy to clean after you use it. When you’re working out and sweating profusely, you need a mat that you can clean and keep sanitary. Otherwise, you risk bacteria breeding and spreading.

The other thing we like about this mat is that it is a good size for most people. It measures 24 inches wide by 72 inches long. It’s also double-sided so that you can use it on either side without having to remember which way is up. It also has a self strapping system so that you can easily roll it up, strap it and store it.
