ProSource Exercise Bands Review

When it comes to working out, it is important to maximize your time and money. We know that we have wasted a lot of money on fitness products over the years. Who hasn’t hung their clothes on their treadmill from time to time? That is why we were interested in reading more about these ProSource exercise bands. We have seen other people using these bands, but we wondered if they were really powerful enough to help us with our strength training routine. Plus, since we sometimes travel, we wanted something we could easily take with us in a suitcase since a treadmill would be a very tight fit.

Why Resistance ProSource Bands Instead of Weights?

One question we had as we did our research was why would we want these little resistance bands instead of some strong weights? Would these bands really stand up to the challenge? Well, we did like the fact that ProSource offers different resistance level bands. They are made out of a heavy duty, strong latex material. They also come with a one year warranty which never hurts.

While weights are a great thing, they do take up space and would be almost impossible to transport when traveling. Some hotels don’t have nice gyms so having these bands with us would be very convenient. They even come with a door anchor which would allow us to connect them just about anywhere. We like the idea of having our own gym no matter where we are at any given moment.

All of the bands measure 48 inches and have a cushioned foam handle. They are good quality bands, as buyers say they seem to be secure, and they do have a very comfortable grip.

How Much Weight?

You can purchase different packs of bands. Here are some of the resistances you can buy:

• Yellow is 2 to 5 pounds
• Green is 5 to 8 pounds
• Red is 8 to 12 pounds
• Blue is 12 to 16 pounds
• Black is 16 to 20 pounds

As you can see, it would be pretty impossible to carry around that kind of weight comfortably to work or when traveling. The total weight of all of the 5 bands is only 1 pound, so that is quite a difference.

What Do Other Buyers Think?

When we were looking around online, we made sure to see what other buyers thought. Here are a couple of comments that stood out to us:

“These bands are perfect for toning, although if you are into muscle building, I wouldn’t recommend this product, and would suggest purchasing dumbbells instead.”

“I ordered these resistance bands to use with my P-90X workout. I’m very pleased with them; they are an excellent value for the price and they are a good quality product. “

There were a couple of negatives that should be noted. Some people said that the red band is prone to breaking, but customer service is easy to work with and will replace it if needed. A couple of people over 6 feet tall also said the bands are a bit too short.

All in all, this product is a great investment for people who want to build strength, but not bulk. For less than $30, it is a very good deal.
